Connecting People, Empowering Our Community
At the Nepalese Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC), we believe that a strong and compassionate community is built on kindness, mutual respect, inclusion, and the willingness to support one another. Our Community Care & Support initiative focuses on promoting the well-being of Nepalese Canadians by encouraging meaningful connections, community assistance, volunteerism, and a culture of compassion.1. Family & Individual Support
We strive to create a supportive community environment where individuals and families can connect, share concerns, and receive encouragement during challenging times. Through community outreach, volunteer participation, and resource sharing, we aim to strengthen family well-being and promote mutual assistance.
2. Senior Care & Social Inclusion
Our seniors are valued members of our community whose wisdom, experiences, and contributions deserve recognition and respect. We encourage social gatherings, intergenerational connections, cultural participation, and community involvement to help seniors remain socially connected, respected, and engaged.
3. Health & Wellness Awareness
We promote awareness of physical health, mental well-being, healthy lifestyles, and preventive care through community education and information sharing. By encouraging open conversations and connections with appropriate health and wellness resources, we aim to support healthier individuals, families, and communities.
4. Volunteerism & Neighbourhood Support
Volunteers play an essential role in building a compassionate and connected community. NCAC encourages community members to contribute their time, knowledge, skills, and experiences to support outreach initiatives, assist with community activities, and strengthen relationships among neighbours.
Our Community Engagement Goals are as follows:
