Building Connections, Strengthening Communities, Creating Opportunities

Connecting People, Empowering Our Community

At the Nepalese Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC), we believe that strong communities are built through meaningful relationships, mutual respect, collaboration, and active participation. Our Community Engagement & Networking program is dedicated to bringing Nepalese Canadians together while building lasting connections with Calgary's diverse multicultural communities.

We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals, families, professionals, entrepreneurs, youth, and seniors can connect, exchange ideas, share experiences, and support one another. Through community gatherings, networking opportunities, volunteer initiatives, and collaborative partnerships, we encourage a sense of belonging, unity, and shared responsibility.

Our goal is to strengthen community relationships, promote cultural understanding, encourage civic engagement, and empower individuals to contribute positively to Canadian society while remaining connected to their Nepalese heritage.

Our Key Initiatives

1. Community Gatherings & Social Connections
We encourage meaningful connections through community gatherings, family-friendly activities, social events, and interactive programs. These opportunities help newcomers and established residents build friendships, strengthen relationships, exchange experiences, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
2. Professional & Business Networking
We aim to connect Nepalese Canadian professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, and emerging leaders through networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, mentorship, and professional collaboration. Our initiatives encourage entrepreneurship, career development, business connections, and economic empowerment within the community.
3. Multicultural Collaboration & Partnerships
We promote positive relationships with multicultural organizations, community associations, nonprofit groups, educational institutions, and local stakeholders. Through collaboration and cultural exchange, we seek to celebrate diversity, encourage mutual understanding, and build stronger connections across Calgary's communities.
4. Civic Engagement & Community Participation
We encourage informed, respectful, inclusive, and non-partisan civic participation. Through community awareness initiatives, educational discussions, and opportunities for dialogue, we aim to help community members better understand their civic rights, responsibilities, and opportunities to participate in Canadian society.
5. Volunteerism & Community Leadership
Volunteering is an essential part of building a compassionate and connected community. We encourage individuals of all ages to share their time, knowledge, talents, and experiences through community service, collaborative initiatives, and leadership opportunities that create positive and lasting social impact.
6. Newcomer Integration & Community Connections
We aim to support Nepalese newcomers in building meaningful social connections and becoming active members of their new communities. By encouraging peer support, information sharing, mentorship, and community participation, we help newcomers feel welcomed, connected, and confident as they establish their lives in Calgary.
